OuStory

Northwest Washington is a true haven for flower growing. The climate here is especially ideal for dahlias, and we are fortunate to be “neighbors” with some very well-known flower farms.

Our love for flowers began just a few years ago with two dahlias from a local garden center, intended simply for our landscape. We knew almost nothing about growing them and sadly lost one to overwatering—but the survivor was breathtakingly beautiful, and our passion was born!

The following year, we transformed a corner of our property into a dahlia garden, growing 75 unique cultivars. By the next year, that number had expanded to 400, and today we grow over 500 different cultivars.

In addition to dahlias, we’ve started growing peonies and sweet peas, and we plan to expand further to include filler flowers. Starting in the summer of 2027, we will also offer some annuals and perennials for resale.

Our property also hosts dozens of fruit trees—mostly apples and cherries—as well as blackberries, blueberries, and tayberries. (If you haven’t tried a tayberry, do yourself a favor—they are incredible!)

You’ll also see pictures of chickens—Lola, Jelly, Lucy, Babs, TC, Taquito, Tamale, and Enchi—used as fun placeholders in our shop. These girls are endlessly entertaining and keep Don busy!

Growing flowers is a labor of love, and we do it alongside our full-time jobs. Launching our little flower farm as a small business has taken time, and we couldn’t have done it without help from our daughter Amanda and our sister Julie. We look forward to sharing beautiful flowers with you for years to come and hope they make your heart sing as much as they do ours. ❤️
